The Business Planning Program

The Business Planning Program takes up to 12 separate businesses through a 7 week process that actually gets them to write a plan and work ‘on their business’. We have had over 70 companies go through this program and each business has created fantastic results.

Training

Program Goals:

  1. Participants will learn the basics of business planning and apply it directly to the business through the program.
  2. Grow the value of the participants’ business by transferring skills, expanding thinking and having them take action ON the business.

Deliverables:

  1. A new or revised strategic business plan with strategies for growth and development.
  2. Tangible actions taken in the business that is positive.
  3. A business mentor/coach for each participant through the entire program.
  4. A review of business development & management company strategies
  5. Brainstorming on local, national and international opportunities.

Program Details

  • Min 6 and max 12 businesses in one program
  • Cost per participant: $3000 + GST
  • Programs can be run in conjunction with State & Territory Government Funding and participants can receive subsidy. (Note: not all businesses in industry sectors will receive state funding support)

2005 Program
Business Planning TrainingThe Business – A service-based business’ sole operator wanted to expand and didn’t know how to do it. After 12 years in the industry, they were known as the best in the region.
The Results – The business has expanded and has hired 3 more people, changed its name to something more relevant and is growing steadily to plan.

2006 Program
The Business – A finance company wanted to increase their profitability and maximise their staff and use of resources.
The Result – The plan enabled them to work out the basic daily and weekly targets that were required to grow the business. The business also put a management feedback system in place and also wrote job descriptions for all of the team.

2007 Program
The Business – A tourism business had husband and wife and parents involved in the business. Sales were OK, and the parents didn’t want to spend money on sales, marketing or property upgrade.
The Result – The parents were out of the business within 4 months. New marketing collateral is brilliant, the business has expanded with improved facilities and the husband and wife team are happier.
